Environmental Services Technician
Experience in a healthcare setting is a must!
Required – H.S. Diploma or GED
Preferred – Coursework/Training Vocational training and certification will also be considered.
Required – 1 year Customer service experience.
Preferred Experience in housekeeping or janitorial / custodial work.
Experience in a hospital / healthcare / long term care setting or hotel setting is a must!
JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Demonstrated knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, proper storage methods, inventory control, and ordering procedures.
Ability to read, write, understand and speak in the English language at the 8th grade level, and perform basic mathematical computation and knowledge of units of measure.
Demonstrated knowledge of equipment maintenance, such as vacuum, brushes, bags and hoses, cleaning of wet/dry vacuums, ride-on and walk behind scrubbers, pads and squeegees, ride-on and walk behind burnishers, pad holders.
Demonstrated knowledge in proper cleaning of soiled scrubbing or burnishing pads.
Demonstrated knowledge of proper carpet cleaning and floor finishing techniques and procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge on how to properly use Safety Ladders in the performance of assigned duties.
Demonstrated knowledge of patient room Critical Use Equipment (IV pumps, poles, SCD’s, Blood Pressure cuffs, monitors and cables).
Demonstrated knowledge in surgical or procedural room cleaning.
Demonstrated knowledge of NICU, SICU and PICU equipment cleaning.
Ability to independently utilize a computer and enter data multiple times per day.
Licenses, Certifications and Registrations must be unencumbered and valid in the state(s) of hire and wherever care is delivered.
LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS
A copy of a current, valid Washington State or other driver’s license/ID is required for specific positions within this classification.
